The California Dental Laboratory Association (CDLA) is a not-for-profit trade association, created 90 years ago by a group of 25 dental technicians who met in San Francisco. The purpose – to form an organization where a group could gather to speak about industry concerns.
Our mission is to promote professional development of dental technology through education, advocacy and service, thereby enhancing public welfare. Since our founding in 1920 we have worked to achieve this by focusing on the following goals:
- Disseminating information to our member laboratories
- Enhancing public understanding and perception of the CDT/CDL designations
- Encouraging and providing education
- Advocating for regulatory standards
- Facilitating business networking
- Providing opportunities for social interaction among members
